The beginning of the Tiny house project

The old metal trailer, which was intended to serve as the new base for the tiny house on wheels, was in poor condition. This retired bobcat hauler had old tires, no brakes, rotted fenders, and a cracked frame. It was on the verge of being taken to the steel recycling yard for scrapping. Upon learning about its availability, I offered $50, the scrap price for it. After bringing it home, I started stripping and repairing it, marking the start of the tiny house project.

To address the issues with the Trailer, I hired a skilled welder to fix the frame and install new fenders. Additionally, the tailgate and sides were deemed unnecessary for the construction of the Tiny house, so they were removed and discarded.

With the trailer almost completely stripped down, it was time to install the new fenders. It's worth noting that the welder included extra square tube steel cross members for added reinforcement. All four springs will be replaced with upgraded ones, and new electric brakes will be installed on each of the four wheels before replacing the wheels themselves.

Although it may not seem like much at the moment, this is a sturdy base for the start of the new tiny house!
